The first Christians were chosen so they might be to the praise of God's glory! (Ephesians 1:11-12) He wanted them. He worked all things so that they would be to the praise of his glory. What do you think that means? I think it means that one reason he chose them was to bring praise to himself. So that has me pondering how I can be to the praise of his glory. How can I live my life so that it brings praise to God? I want others to look at my life and praise God for what he is doing in my life or through me. The praise should be his. I will work on directing the praise to Him.
God works. He takes action. He works all things according to his will. So he is actively doing something. He is working to achieve his purpose. I want to be a part of that. I am asking God to keep my eyes open to see where he is working so I can join him and be to the praise of His glory.

I Choose On Purpose
I choose on purpose to live my life for God. After reading Ephesians 1:7-10, the words plan, purpose, and will really stuck out to me. God planned on purpose to give Jesus to die for me. He lavished this great gift on me, not as an afterthought, but knowing in his wisdom and insight the rejection and failures of the people he was choosing.
If God chose me with full knowledge of the failures and frustration I would cause him, I can certainly choose God, who will not fail me, on purpose each day whether it is full of rejection, failure, joy, or excitement.

He delights in me
I was so behind that I decided to make a new notebook for myself and start over. Today I read and pondered Ephesians 1:5-6. He chose me on purpose to be his adopted daughter! How amazing is that? How special I feel. I delight in knowing that God wanted me!

Accountability
Good Morning Girls! I have been enjoying reading Ephesians and pondering on the words the few times I have sat down to do it. But since I have been so inconsistent with it, it isn't really sticking in my brain or flowing through my life. I need some accountability and encouragement. So, I am asking you to post a comment on here each day that you read that tells us what you read. I will do the same. If you don't see me posting much, would you please get in touch with me here or in email to remind me to be reading. Thanks so much!
